Both of my children attend Smarties and I am so pleased, as are they! The staff are both engaging and supportive. My son can often find transitioning hard and the team at Smarties have always been so helpful; working with us to ensure he is happy and joining in. They are continuously thinking up new ways to educated and entertain the kids and it is clear that the team are passionate about what they do. We very much recommend SmartiesPosted on Google Mary Katherine Braid Our children both attend Smarties one for the walking bus having previously been at the nursery/pre school and the other is in the caterpillar room. Throughout this time staff have been consistently excellent, always friendly, professional and positive. The children seem to be given lots of opportunity to learn and do lots of different activities. Most importantly for me they are very happy to clearly enjoy their time there. Parents are well informed by updates at the end of the day and information and pictures on the online journal. We are definitely very happy with the service and certainly plan to continue for the foreseeable future.Posted on Google Lorna H Brilliant playgroup and preschoolPosted on Google raj harpi Bhullar

From our cosy Baby Room to our interactive Toddler and Preschool Rooms, we create spaces where children thrive through play, discovery, and guidance from our dedicated staff.

Younger children benefit from a 1:3 staff ratio, ensuring attentive care and activities tailored to their interests. They enjoy two spacious rooms with role play and messy play areas, plus a large garden set up daily to match their interests. Staff balance independent exploration with Key Person support.

Children within our butterfly room are on a 1 staff to 5 children ratio as the children grow and begin to develop their sense of independence. They have access to three free-flow rooms upstairs—sensory, messy play, and role play—encouraging choice in play and learning.

Our preschool welcomes 3 and 4-year-olds into a fun, nurturing, and educational environment. We support their growth in creativity, communication, social skills, and world understanding, preparing them for the next stage of learning.

Our curriculum is designed to inspire growth, exploration, and meaningful experiences.
We encourage children to develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning through play, outdoor adventures, and creative expression.
By fostering curiosity and a sense of belonging, we help every child thrive in a safe, supportive environment.
